Monoprints Using a Gelli Plate

In-Person with Jennifer Duncan
[Since class will be held indoors, masks are required]
Using photos and still life objects for reference, students will learn to create abstract monoprint paintings on the Gelli plate that are unique and personal. Basic color mixing, layering, registering a design, and blocking in a composition will all be explored. All skill levels are welcome. Supply list will be made available for registered students two weeks prior to class.

About the instructor: Jennifer Duncan has been teaching abstract painting and collage from her home studio and Great Falls School of Art since 2010. Her classes aim to be fun, innovative, and informative, and are designed to help students discover their own creative approach to making art.
Jennifer’s paintings have been included in group and solo exhibitions in the Washington Metro area and her work can be found in both national and international collections. She is a founding member of the Great Falls Artists’ Atelier, where she has had a studio since 2005, and is a member of Studio Gallery DC in Washington.
