Landscape Themes with Bethanne Kinsella Cople

Class size limited to 25 students
This is a three-hour, five-week online interactive class. We will discuss a different subject each week….snow, beach, and incorporating figure and buildings in the landscape. Bethanne will offer demonstration and instruction focusing on methods, techniques, and the use of tools and mediums you can employ on larger canvasses. Special attention will be given to artistic interpretation of reference material including a review of the basics of good design.
The last hour will be a group critique. Students will present to the class a painting they have been working on for critique by instructor. The instructor may offer further demonstration to explore critique suggestions of student’s paintings. Group discussions will be encouraged.
This online class will be taught through the video-conferencing platform Zoom, and your teacher will use email to facilitate further communication with you and your classmates.
