Painting the Portrait

Tuesdays 10:30-1:30pm |  6 Weekly Sessions

ONLY 3 SPOTS are available in this hybrid Portrait session.  This course covers the basic elements of portraiture: composition, mood, gesture, form, structure and features. Models are clothed. Instruction in painting will cover features and how to achieve beautiful skin tones. Supply lists are provided through the links below. Model fees are extra, paid directly to the instructor the first day of class.

You are welcome to draw in charcoal. I will give a demo for the first part of day one of class.  You’ll be drawing/painting for the second half of that class!

Help me hire our models for the class — Know someone who would enjoy sitting for us? Requirements: reliable, open to the experience, able to hold the pose.
