STUDY THEMES — Mastercopy
These monthly sessions are for the young artist, ages 13 – 18, who demonstrates the ability to handle paint with proficiency, has command of the drawing skill including perspective, and/or has taken Level I and Level II Drawing. The lessons emphasize “the art of the start,” powerful color statements of the major color masses within the still life set up, to the minor color variations. Participants will show greater visual acuity in terms of grasping the light key and handle value relationships in color with confidence. Mastercopy will develop the ability to select placement of the subject in the rectangle, expression, painting skills from grisaille to duotone to full color, and practice the solutions other artists have mastered.
