
Rajendra KC
Rajendra KC is known for his intricate watercolor paintings. Although Rajendra is primarily a watercolor plein air artist, he also likes working in oil and acrylics. Raj was born in Nepal and educated at Sirjana Contemporary Art Gallery in Kathmandu where he received numerous special awards. Rajendra came to the United States in 2007 and became very active in the plein air (French for "paint outside") circuit. He has won accolades at many plein air competitions including four awards in 2024: First Place Floyd Plein Air Biennial, Third Place Suffolk Plein Air Festival, Second Place Falls Church Plein Air. His paintings are in many private collections in Nepal, United States, Canada, India, China, and several European countries. Rajendra is a member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, Montgomery Art Association (MAA) and Falls Church Art, Inc. His hands-on teaching technique is popular with his students.
