Tuesdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm. All levels welcome!

Started Jan 14
150 US dollars
Village Centre School

Description

Pastelists of all levels are invited to join a community of other pastel artists to paint together, share ideas, and inspire each other. See what other artists are doing and what techniques and approaches are being used. There is no instructor, just a group of artists spending time creating with the wonderful medium of pastels. Artists must bring their own pastels and paper/painting surfaces. Based in Herndon, Virginia, Jean Wolf is an artist working in soft pastels, oils, and watercolors. With an eye toward Impressionism, Jean strives for paintings that evoke a sense of place, a precious moment captured in time. Jean studied art at Kent State University under a fine art scholarship and has furthered her studies through workshops with many notable artists in South Carolina, Massachusetts, Maryland, Oregon, and Northern Virginia. After a lengthy career as a graphic designer, Jean is spending all her time and focus on fine art painting. She has exhibited in juried exhibitions at AiM Gallery, in Middleburg, VA; The Arts of Great Falls, in Great Falls, VA; Art at the Mill, in Clarke County, VA; and Art Space Herndon, in Herndon, VA. Class cancellation due to teacher illness, school closure, or inclement weather will be rescheduled for Feb 18.
